A Softail refers to a motorcycle with hidden shocks or rear suspension springs. From the outlook, a Softail bike may seem like a hardtail. Harley Davidson, the manufacturer, is a renowned brand in creating the best possible motorbike experience in the world. They have been producing excellent motorbikes for over 30 years.

The Softail family comes with various stylings ranging from classic cruiser type to the hot rod model to demystify what is a Harley Softail. Harley Softail model came into play in 1984 after the release of FXST Softail. To this day, hundreds of Softail frames rock the streets.

The frame used on this type resembles rigid frames of the past but maintains a rear suspension for all models from 1984 to 2017; the shocks are hidden under the bike’s transmission while 2018 models hide the shock absorbers under the seat.
