Heat Demon
Installing Heat Demon motorcycle grips is relatively easy. You will need a basic knowledge of vehicle electrics, a strong hand, and some experience working with electrical components. These grips are compatible with most handlebars. Make sure you have enough clearance between the grip and throttle wire, though. You may not need a relay, as the grips are low power. But if you are unsure, you can use a wire-to-wire relay to make sure you don’t overheat the handlebars while riding.
Before installing Heat Demon motorcycle grips, you should clean your motorcycle’s controls. If you have glued grips, use a utility knife to cut them free. If your motorcycle has a smooth throttle tube, heated grips will be easier to install. You don’t have to remove the throttle tube before you install the heated grips. If you are replacing grips that are not compatible with your motorcycle’s controls, you should first make sure you have a good electrical outlet.
Symtec
Symtec heated motorcycle grips are a great way to keep your hands toasty when the temperature drops. The heating elements have different settings to keep your hands warm. When the temperature drops, you can set the switch to lower or increase the heat. You can also use electrical tape to wrap around the left side of your handlebar and the element, which will equalize the heat from the left and right grips. If you’re unsure if heated motorcycle grips are right for you, consider the following tips before buying.
First, make sure that the wires connecting the throttle and the grip are long enough to reach the switch. Then, connect the thumb warmer wire to the left grip pin connector. These wires are red and black. Insert the wires into the center holes of the 6-pin connector, pressing them in until they cannot be pulled out. The wires don’t need to be oriented; just be sure that they match up to the existing wires.
Kuryakyn

The heated grips are controlled with a switching mode controller that cycles power on and off. Lower frequency produces less heat, so you can adjust the temperature as needed. A quick press of the ‘plus’ button starts the unit at the lowest setting of 30%, and then gradually progresses to 40%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. If you don’t want to cycle through the heat settings, you can press the’minus’ button, which cycles the power off.
