A professional motocross bike uses a Lectron carb to make it go faster, and it’s the same way on your Harley evo. Lectron carbs are a complete cycle. You won’t have to mess with adjusting floats or timing, and it’s easy to dial in the correct amount of fuel. There are three circuits to a Lectron carb.
The company developed a flat slide and metering rod in 1974. The company is now known for providing racing and performance enthusiasts with a carburetor that increases horsepower and torque without sacrificing fuel efficiency. This carb also auto-tunes itself to compensate for altitude changes, pipe swaps, and reeds. These benefits have led to a rapid growth in the popularity of Lectron carburetors.
The Lectron carburetor’s innovative design features the least amount of parts and advanced venturi shapes. Keihin CV40

The Honda CV provides ambient pressure to the float bowl through a port on the left side of the carburetor. Another small rubber hose routes to a “Y” fitting, which branches into two longer hoses and another that loops over the top of the carb. With this multi-hose set-up, the float bowl receives unrestricted air, even when the bike is submerged.
Another great option for a Harley evo is the Mikuni HSR series. These carburetors are specifically designed for big twin and Sportster engines. They feature an adjustable accelerator pump and variable enrichment/fast idle device to improve warm up and starting, and they also have a larger vacuum hole than the original carb. Danny’s work started with a bored-out motor. His motor was upgraded to a 1,340cc. He bought the Linkert DC carb from S&S Cycle, installed a custom exhaust, and moved the oil tank. He also made his own seat pad and gas tank, which echo the original XLCR unit. The seat pad is custom-made and includes slits to disperse heat.
